He is an Adjunct Professor at USF, Department of Engineering, where he teaches Mechanics and Materials Science. His 30+ years of experience includes R&D for NASA, employment at General Electric, Honeywell, Martin Marietta, industry consulting and over 1,100 Forensic Engineering cases. Dr. Spears is a principal of Florida Forensic Engineering, Inc. and is an experienced testifying engineer with emphasis dealing with accident reconstruction of all types and failure analysis. Dr. Spears is a Professional Engineer, Florida State Board of Registration, No. 11449.
